Michael J. Burns

Mr. Burns has extensive experience representing individuals, small and large businesses, banking and lending institutions and companies in the area of business and corporate law and civil litigation. He has been a General Counsel for a Federal Savings Bank and an Assistant General Counsel for a Fortune 500 consumer finance company. His professional experience also includes four years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Mr. Burns is licensed in three states and has an active practice in New Mexico as well as Texas. He represents lenders in both state and federal courts; in residential and commercial real estate transactions, non-judicial foreclosures and related litigation; title claims, judicial foreclosures, eviction, contract disputes, as well as lender representation in consumer and commercial bankruptcy cases.
